I procrastinate

Student's Leadership Camp'08

Seeking, Soaring, Shining

It had ended, it's finally over.
My throat, flu and cough are still bad.
Time really flies, we were still busily preparing for it two months back.

Day One
It was quite rushing as all of us were all still havin' lessons on Friday.
Went home to get my bag packed straight after releasing from class.
We had briefings and preparations till the campers arrived.
What i can say that it was chaotic cos' all the schedules were pushed back due to the event held in our school.
Some were even cancelled.
Slept @ approx. 0200

Day Two
Woke @ 0530.
Unfortunately, the breads for our breakfast was mouldy,
hence, we only had chocolate waffle biscuits and milos.
Azim and i was the IC for the first game - Treasure hunt.
I think, the game wasn't well planned.
I couldn't give out instructions clearly as i didn't have much voice to do so.
I tried my very best, aftermath caused me to lost my voice almost completely.
My throat became terrible and hurt.
Had our Amazing race at Botanical Garden which Bing Han, Azim, Theodoric and me was IC of the red family.
Heh, it was fun during the journey.
Had WoW I, it was a mess.
Had the Mystery Of The Missin' Prince at night time.
Was the mentor for the group - Eagle.
Had briefing after the campers had their lights off, all of us dozed off.
I was the only person who went to bath after the briefing as i'm dirty after preparing those games.
It was midnight already, was glad that Su Fei accompanied me there. [:
Slept @ 0300.

Last Day
Woke @ 0630.
Had telematch followed by some back up games as it was raining.
Dispite the drizzle, we had our WoW II.
My nail broke when i pulled the pails.
Thomas made me all wet ! Haha.
It rained again.
The campers hurried to the canteen.
I was knocked by some people and slipped.
Aw.
During the photo taking, Wen Wei, Wee Boon and Theodoric bullied me.
They pulled off my rubberband ! *wails*
Then, followed by AAR by Mr Khoo till 5:20pm which i've left earlier.
Many dozed off during the AAR too. Haha ~

Come to realise, the sec4s have known each other for about four years.
We've been through ups and downs.
And, this is our last camp together.
I know, we won't be having any better opportunities to get so close again.
But, this memory will always be there.
I'll miss all of them.

Home sweet home
Rushed home to bath and change as my family was waiting for me.
Sissy and sissy in law got me a pink mouse and their webcam. :]
Uncle came to drove us out for my mom's b'day celebration.
Actually, sister wants to bring my mom out for a dinner on her b'day which was on the first day of the camp.
Mom said to wait for me.
Hahahaha.
After the dinner, we went to uncle's house for my mom's b'day cake.
Was extremly dizzy by then, had that fainting feeling.
I troubled Carrie to get my mom a small cake on Friday as i was really busy with the camp.
Mommy had actually waited for me to come home to share it with her! Heh.

Felt stressful over Choir activity for the next day as i'm so worn out.
Broke down, luckily Madeline helped.
Mom gave me my flu medicine and off i went into my dreamland.

Monday
Still feelin' weary.
Was 15 minutes late for Chemisty class.
Also, was late for 30 minutes for Maths class as i was preparing for the Choir activity.

Was sooooo glad that the 1d camp was a success.
3 members said they felt more confident standing infront of a crowd now.
All the members said they felt that there were more bonding between each members after the 1d camp activities.
5 members rated the games 7/10.
7 members rated the games 8/10.
5 members rated the games 9/10.

The games:
- Treasure hunt (team-bonding, teamwork)
- Popping crazy (overcome fear, team-bonding, confidence)
- Honey if u love me (confidence, self-esteem)
- Animal sounds (trust, being able to sense using other parts of your body besides your eyes, eg. ears)
- Where's the grapes (trust, team-bondinq)
- Dog and bone (sense of urgency, attentivenss)

Have to thank Choir for participating and supporting,
otherwise w/o them, it won't be that successful. [:
I'm glad that they appreciated what we've done for them. [:

Saw negative comments regarding of the Leadership Camp.
Honestly, it do upsets me alittle.
It's like we, seniors spent in so much effort to build this camp and make it possible
but somehow people don't know how to appreciate.

Tuesday, today
Had poa, el and physics.
Poa did test, el did mock exam and oral and had physics practical - converging lens.

I come to realise, maybe we shouldn't have cared too much on their personal thoughts. All we have to know is that we've tried our best and we've did a good job on it already.
